Terms of service

These terms govern your use of Ledgeree -- the Shopify app, Ledgeree Books, and the Windows relay agent. Installing the app or continuing to use it after a trial means you accept these terms. Last updated 29 August 2026.

1. The service

Ledgeree is operated by Bytefacts Software Solutions, Tamil Nadu, India (“Ledgeree,” “we,” “us”). Ledgeree connects your Shopify store to Tally Prime or Zoho Books and posts GST-correct accounting vouchers for shipped orders, based on the configuration you provide. Where you have no ERP, Ledgeree Books presents the same underlying data as a read-only daybook and GST-liability tracker. Ledgeree automates data preparation and posting; it does not replace your own review of that configuration or your books.

2. No tax or legal advice

Ledgeree, its documentation, and any educational content we publish are informational and do not constitute tax, legal, or accounting advice for your specific circumstances. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your GST filings and for engaging a qualified chartered accountant or tax professional where needed.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must have the authority to install apps on the Shopify store you connect, and to authorize access to any ERP account you connect. You’re responsible for the accuracy of the configuration you enter (ledger mappings, GST rates, HSN codes, LUT details) -- Ledgeree posts based on what you configure, and blocks a push rather than guessing when required configuration is missing, but it cannot verify that a correctly-configured value is itself correct for your business.

4. Subscription, billing, and trial

  • Paid plans are billed through Shopify’s own Billing API, on the cadence Shopify supports for app charges. Ledgeree does not collect or store your card details directly.
  • New installs get a 5-day free trial before the first charge, shown on Shopify’s own confirmation screen at checkout.
  • Plans are tiered by monthly shipment volume; exceeding your plan’s cap pauses new pushes (already-captured orders are queued, not dropped) until you upgrade or the next billing cycle resets usage.
  • Upgrading, downgrading, or cancelling is done from the app’s billing screen inside Shopify Admin, or by uninstalling the app.
  • Cancellation stops renewal and paid access ordinarily continues until the end of the current billing period. Charges already incurred are normally non-refundable, except where required by law. We may approve a full or partial Shopify refund or app credit for a duplicate charge, billing error, prolonged verified service failure, or exceptional circumstance reported within 7 days of the charge.

5. Your responsibilities

  • Keep your Shopify, Zoho, and Tally access credentials secure, and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
  • Provide accurate product, tax, and ledger configuration -- Ledgeree cannot detect a wrong-but-plausible GST rate or ledger mapping.
  • Review posted vouchers as part of your normal accounting close, the same as you would with any other bookkeeping process.
  • Use the service only for lawful business purposes.
  • If you run the Windows relay agent, keep the machine it runs on reasonably secured -- the agent has local network access to your Tally instance.

6. Third-party services and trademarks

Ledgeree connects to and interoperates with Shopify, Tally Prime, and Zoho Books, each governed by its own terms with its own provider. Ledgeree is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Shopify Inc., Tally Solutions Pvt. Ltd., or Zoho Corporation. All trademarks referenced belong to their respective owners.

7. Availability and changes to the service

Ledgeree may change features over time as Shopify, Tally, Zoho, or GST rules themselves change. We’ll communicate material changes to pricing or plan limits before they take effect for existing subscribers. We don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability -- infrastructure providers we depend on (Shopify, Supabase, Cloudflare, Zoho) can themselves have outages outside our control.

8. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don’t warrant that every possible GST scenario, ERP configuration, or edge case is covered, though we treat correctness over availability as the core design principle -- the service is built to block and report an incomplete or ambiguous configuration rather than silently post something wrong.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ledgeree’s liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the fees you paid for the service in the three months preceding the claim. Ledgeree is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including losses arising from incorrect configuration you supplied, a third-party outage (Shopify, Tally, Zoho, Supabase, or Cloudflare), or your own failure to review posted vouchers.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment, misuse, or a violation of these terms. Uninstalling the app halts sync immediately; per Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks, we then process the corresponding data-redaction requests as described in our privacy policy.

11. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory statutory forum, disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Tamil Nadu.

12. Changes to these terms

We’ll update the “last updated” date above when these terms change, and communicate material changes before they take effect.

13. Contact and grievances

Questions, formal notices, and grievances can be sent to [email protected].
