Security and data handling
A plain-language overview of how Bytefacts Software Solutions moves data between Shopify and your accounting system through Ledgeree.
Shopify
Orders and fulfilments
Ledgeree
Authenticated processing
Local relay
Outbound secure session
Tally Prime
Local XML/HTTP interface
Tally does not need a publicly reachable inbound port. The relay connects the documented local interface to queued Ledgeree work.
Least-privilege connections
Ledgeree requests the Shopify and accounting-platform permissions required for the configured workflow. Access credentials must be stored server-side and must not be exposed in browser code or logs.
Tally Prime connection
Tally Prime exposes an XML/HTTP integration interface from the running Tally instance. Ledgeree uses a local relay agent so the cloud service does not need a publicly reachable Tally port. The agent sends the required voucher request to the locally reachable instance.
Zoho Books connection
Zoho Books is connected through its authenticated cloud API. Authorization can be revoked from the relevant account connection settings.
Operational safeguards
Posting jobs use explicit success or failure states, retry controls and reconciliation records. Failed work should remain visible rather than being treated as successfully posted.
